ROSES VETERINARY - BEFORE & AFTER


Well, how do I even start saying THANK YOU?
So here is the story of a young Vet who after being denied employment by a certain state government, picked up the courage to start her own veterinary clinic with a meager start up capital.

I thought it was important I called our attention to her story and Dr. Bala Muhammad (God bless you tremendously sir) picked it up and blew it out of proportion (Lol) as usual.

Today I am proud we all made it happen!

A PLEA TO 50 VETERINARIANS

I remember, few years ago when I wanted to start my first Veterinary Clinic. I had many concerns, fears, joy and sadness at the same time. What was I going into? Will it succeed or will it fail? So many questions with very few answers... While still musing over my mixed feelings, a senior colleague (Dr. Micheal Eleagwu) offered to help out. He gave me drugs he had in excess, 5 pieces each and asked me to return the capital after sales. We are all not self-made. Most of us are products of other people's kindness. Today, I feel very obliged to use the privileges I have to help a young colleague taking the same steps I took 9 years ago. What inspired me about her story was the fact that she has paid a price very few Vets, if any, will dare to pay. Sokoto State Government and the AFrican Development Bank (AfDB) Mull Ranchers, Grazing Reserves Set Up

Sokoto state government and the African Development Bank (AfDB) are working closely towards the feasibility of raising ranches and grazing reserves in parts of the state so as to improve livestock farming and curtail the preponderance of banditry and sundry crimes arising therefrom. This was part of the take-always from a meeting Gov. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto state and a team of his Commissioners had with the management of the AfDB, led by the President of its President, Dr Akinwumi Adesina, in the bank’s headquarters in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire. According to the state Commissioner for Animal Health, Prof. Abdulkadir Junaidu, the move is in furtherance of the state government’s ongoing efforts to achieve the same goal.
