A PLEA TO 50 VETERINARIANS
I remember, few years ago when I wanted to start my first Veterinary Clinic. I had many concerns, fears, joy and sadness at the same time. What was I going into? Will it succeed or will it fail? So many questions with very few answers... While still musing over my mixed feelings, a senior colleague (Dr. Micheal Eleagwu) offered to help out. He gave me drugs he had in excess, 5 pieces each and asked me to return the capital after sales. We are all not self-made. Most of us are products of other people's kindness. Today, I feel very obliged to use the privileges I have to help a young colleague taking the same steps I took 9 years ago. What inspired me about her story was the fact that she has paid a price very few Vets, if any, will dare to pay. She started as an office assistant in Imperial Animal clinic, Kaduna, where she was in charge of sales and the cleanliness of the outlet for 3 years.
